FRONT-OF-HOUSE MANAGER

Our Lounge is the pinnacle of what we do at Twin City. Our team strives to make every visit unforgettable and to engage with visitors about our community and about the things we love to make; Craft Beer, Hand-Stretched Pizza, and now even Smoked-Meat Sandwiches. The interactions we have with our visitors are genuine. Our team’s goal is friendly, prompt, and accurate service that is memorable and sought after again and again.

We want our local community to ask questions about the beer in their glass because we believe that quality comes from hard work and just because quality isn’t commonplace, that doesn’t mean it isn’t worth searching for.

Our FOH Manager will be someone that leads by example. That listens, supports, and engages with the team around them. He or she will have clear ideas about what our visitor’s experiences should look like. Their passion for great food and beer should be channeled into every person’s visit.

Our 44 seat Lounge and 16 seat Patio can be busy at times, so ideal candidates must be confident and work well in a bustling setting. We strongly advocate for teamwork and an open line of communication across the Lounge and Kitchen staff.

Expect the FOH Manager to be responsible for things like;

  • Lounge team scheduling

  • Overseeing lounge operations

    • including cash handling, cleaning, filing & paying lounge invoices

  • Implementing new policies/procedures/mandates

  • Meeting regularly with the management team

  • Ensuring the safety of both patrons and staff through implementation and enforcement of proper emergency procedures

  • Responding to sales/sponsorship requests

  • Monitoring budgets

  • Working towards increased sales and profitability

Aside from the managerial responsibilities, common tasks on any given day will include pouring beer, filling growlers, entering food and drink orders, handling cash, using our POS system, updating our menus and tap lists, running food orders, tending to tables, clearing tables, and various other jobs to keep the Lounge looking sharp and running efficiently.

Individuals looking to fill this role should be:

  • Serving-it-right certified

  • Experienced managing a team of staff

  • Experienced in counting, collecting, and reconciling cash-outs

    • Experience working in hospitality an asset but not required

    • Knowledge of BC breweries & craft beer an asset but not required

    • Capable of entering data, sending emails, and using programs such as word and excel

  • Able to multi-task and perform well in an environment that may sometimes be loud, fast paced, and have frequent disruptions

  • Comfortable on their feet for long periods of time

  • Capable of safely lifting fifty pounds

This position reports directly to the Company’s Owner/Brewmaster

We offer competitive wages based on experience plus tips and great staff discounts along with hours that don’t go late into the night. Expect a set weekly schedule of 40 hours per week with varying shifts that are negotiable.

ASSISTANT FRONT-OF-HOUSE MANAGER

The position of Assistant FOH Manager is a brand new role created to provide support for both the FOH Manager and the Lounge team. The job will include managing Merchandise, Guest Taps, Non-Alcoholic Items, Cider, Growlers, and Lounge Supplies. This person will also work closely with the other managers to tackle concerns and discuss ways to improve different aspects of the business.
